I am interested in using Impetus for the Wars of the Roses and interested to find out whether any of you guys in TMP world have got any period specific house rules for the period ie a WotR battle is all about trying to kill the enemy nobles or there might be a dash of treachery. I would like to incorporate these ideas into my game and wondered if anyone had already done this. |

not for treachery no
.would love to tho, however I do only allow at most 6 shots of arrows, sometimes I make the players roll for ammo, this way you have to close and finish with hand to hand like the real battles |

We use the exploration points Do your army list 350,400 or 500pt army, and set aside some or all of your exploration points (5 points max) and use them for treachery instead, they give you the opportunity at the beginning of the game to roll for key units, you need to beat the opposing player with 2d6, highest roll wins. The player who wins this roll then rolls again and the units then do three things, 1 or 2 retreat from the field, 3 take no part in the battle or 4,5,6 need to be rolled for each turn they move or fire (including opportunity) to see which side they will fight for that turn. (each side rolls 2d6 each time the unit does an action, the victor then rolls a 1 d6 again for the result) cheers Matt |
