Any reason why it wouldn't be suitable for the War of the Spanish Succession?

No reason that I can see, although it would be at the extreme end of the period. I'm not quite sure why nobody has formulated any concrete ideas yet, but you can see from this forum that several people were looking at it.

I think it would need some mild tweaking, certainly the essential engine is capable and it handles LOA stuff up to 1700 handily enough.

I suspect the cut-off date is quite arbitrary, really it ends with the demise of pike but given Swedish practice into the GNW I see no reason why it wouldn't emulate that nicely.

I don't think WSS is much of a stretch at all.

It will be interesting to see if the Baroque concept is developed to replace Le Roi Soleil and Grandeur which are the H&M development sets.

There is an Impetus supplement called Le Roi Soliel for that period. Free on the Impetus website. It might provide the info you need to modify Baroque.

I am already considering it for WSS myself. There are so many great rules mechanisms in Baroque that will work for any musket period game.

The Le Roi Soleil variant works very well for WSS. I've used it to refight Ramillies and Blenheim.

the idea is to create a future supplement with lists and special rules for the period.

I'm interested in looking at these as I am just finishing off a 10mm LoA project
