I own Impetus, but haven't played them (only read thru). I have downloaded BI as well, but again never played them. I was curious if the people who have actually played BI feel that its a complete rulest. By "complete I mean, are there a lot of holes & ambiguities when you are playing, or do the rules cover most of what comes up in play? I plan on playtesting them solo soon, but wanted to have an idea what (if anything) is missing. Thanks!

I found them fairly complete. We had a couple questions which I posted to the Impetus forum and they were quickly answered. Still have an issue with the way terrain works but it's nothing I can't work around.

I really like Basic Impetus, and will probably get around to ordering a copy of Impetus just to show support for the author, though I find BI stands on its own very well.

I have to echo these guy also.

I enjoyed two games of Basic Impetus before I broke down and ordered the "regular" rulebook.

I think I'll prefer Basic Impetus games with just some of the essential rules from the full set that don't eat up much time.

We play it at my club and it is a great game. We originally started with Field of Glory, but ended up playing this more.

It's a great game and does our needs perfectly.
