Sumerian Chariots in 6mm

Remember back in 2005, when I promised pictures of those Sumerian chariot stands in 6mm?

Good one. I am going to give these rules a try when they bring out the Dark Age lists.

So when you play with your 40mm frontage bases, do you put two bases together to form the one Impetus unit (80mm frontage)?

you can put two units together, but you can also just play with 40mm frontage bases.

i believe there are dark age lists on the homepage.

fall of rome and vikings and saxons are online.

what armies are you looking for?

I think a /better/ look would be to put 4 formed infantry bases together 2X2 or 2 cavalry or skirmish bases side by side.

The infantry will look sufficiently massed and the cavalry and skirmishers will look good!

The rules also allow you to use double or more the number of units called for in the army lists and divide them into separate commands. For instance one command for all the infantry and two commands of mounted. Each of the commands throws separately for initiative with the higher total acting first. We generally play double the number of stands, with perhaps a few more thrown in on each side. As expected, the game takes about twice as long to play, two to two-and-a-half hours. It's a great set of rules. So far we've played Hittites vs Syrians, Crusaders vs Saracens and HYW French vs English. I've enjoyed them all.
