I read through the Basic Impetus and would like to know what is the difference between Impetus and Basic Impetus? |

Off the top of my head: - Impetus allows multiple moves. - Impetus accounts for mutiple commands. - There may be more special rules (elephants, longbows?). - The army lists are more flexible. - About £15.00 GBP :o) |

Subtle changes to combat really make it feel different as well
skirmishers for instance become more useful. Combined with the other things advocate mention it really changes the feel of the game
not particularly mechanically it just becomes more tactical and subtle. Having more on the table and being slightly more to it means it isn't quite as quick
Will happily play both but prefer the full version, unless we are trying to cram as many games in as possible ina club night! Rich J |

As above, plus: - Units can go on 'opportunity' in Impetus, allowing counter-charges and fire. - You can perform more maneuvres (about face, move backwards). - Units can evade charges (makes horse archers actually work!) I'd definitely recommend the full version. Bill. |

Skirmishers behave differently. More useful in Impetus than BI. |

Well, basically, one is basic, and the other isn't. |

Well, basically, one is basic, and the other isn't. Who would've guessed that the name was self-explanatory? |
