Huzzah! This is good news (actually I just started looking at 15mm Teutons and their enemies yesterday). Was thinking about using the 10mm figures from Kallistra, but they (and their enemies) seem to be more suited for the later period (Grunwald/Tannenburg) and I think my interest trends towards the earlier period. I printed off a copy of Basic Impetus last night and gave it a quick read through. Seems simple enough, and yes, dare I say it, DBAesque, but with greater details in terms of missile fire. The size if each unit makes fielding armies about twice the price of a DBA army, but that actually might make the battlefield look more appealing and less like the chess look one can get with DBA. Good stuff! |

We played Basic Impetus recently at the club, and it feels completely different to DBwotsit in play. Much superior, and for a free set bloomin amazing. I can see it rekindling my interest in Ancients/Meds. |
