I've been doing some fiddling with AMW by Neil Thomas. I reduced the game to single stand units and only 4 hits each. I have the modifications here

link Enjoy! John |

Looks great and the battle report gives an indication of how it would play. I have and have read Neil Thomas's AMW book but have never played a game. I have also occasionally thought that it should be easy to convert to one stand and 2'x2' table. I will add AMW + your mods to the list of Callinicum refights with different rules I am doing. As I am getting into the swing of different rulesets I am keen to try lots. -shaun |

Fun set of rules and the "mini" version reduces the dice significantly. Usually you are rolling only 1 or 2 but can roll as many as 5 depending on the matchup. BTW, I seem to have dropped a picture. There should be a picture after the roman cavalry charge picture. I'll correct. the report seems to still make sense. :-) |

Nice report, John. Do you think it would be worth reducing the army break point to say six or seven units? Cheers, Aaron |
