I don't see the hard copy of Crusaders rules available on the Oldglory25s or crusaderusa websites? Is the pdf version the only version available now?

Just curious how Crusader's rules stack up against Warmaster Ancients. No one has really compared the two. I know little of Crusader's rules, but I assume they're like apples and oranges?

CP I asked the exact same question a few weeks ago.
My suggestion is to join the Yahoo group for Crusader.

Mark is quite active with the group and there is a link to Mark's home-page where you can get the rules as a pdf. BTW, for quite a bit less than Warmaster Ancients.
Lastly, I'd venture to say the comparison would be more like Checkers, (Warmaster) to Chess, (Crusader rules).

I've played both and like them both a lot. Fortunately, armies can be used with boths sets of rules with no problem, a big bonus in my view. Mark's got some great ideas, he just needs an editor and a 2nd edition. Crusader has a very good combat/morale mechanism, troops may not always do what you want in a turn (unlike WAB). I like this, others may not. Personally, I have no intention of playing one set to the exclusion of the other, both are good sets of rules IMO.

I always agree with Hastati.

As well you should, what's not to agree with!

It will be interesting to see what changes to the basic rules are in Warmaster Medieval when it comes out soon.

OK, so it seems the pdf is the only way to go. I have WMA and WM already and am doing a Dacian army. Sometimes I do want more crunch than WMA provides. Sounds like I'll pick them up.
