I have not long got the Impetus rules to try out and am interested in the Crusader rules. I have searched on here and on Google etc and and don't seem to be able to find too much about them. Couple of threads mention them but I'm still not sure how they play and compare to Impetus. Also I think they are 28mm focussed.

I also can't seem to find them on the Crusader site at all for sale? Maybe I'm just having a bad internet day. Am a bit tired I must admit so flagging now :-( Anyone know of any good in depth reviews that might help in the decision making process?

IIRC Old Glory sellt them. The Army discount should apply. I have them but have not played them. Stand based so no reason you can't use other scales with more figures per base.

An idiosyncratic set.

Instead of all units move, all units shoot, all units fight, all units check morale etc., in these its one units moves, shoots, fight, checks its morale and then move on to the next.

Once you get into it, it flows well but after a couple of run throughs we came to the conclusion that some points in the rules needed better clarification.

IMHO stick with Impetus or Basic Impetus. Best set of rules for pre gunpowder warfare by far.
