Kampfgruppe Ost, is a semi abstract “Beer and Pretzels” treatment of East front battles 1944-1945. This is a scale =X game meaning play it and decide what unit, distance, time, scale it feels like to you. You will have more fun if you don’t think too hard about it
Hexagons or Areas (Hexes): All movement, ranges are given in hexagons (hexes or singular hex). Irregular areas delineated with either strips of felt tape or some such may be used instead (whatever makes you happy). The main thing is too make sure that at least 8 of the game pieces you are using for sub units fit in each hex or area with a little room to spare.
