I'm always on the lookout for games which promise fun without requiring large numbers of figures, and Alien Squad Leader (then published by Alternative Armies) caught my eye.
The first army I've put together are the Mechanoids, because they look cool and look easy to paint up, and are said to be one of the easiest forces to play.
The second army… well, I had one, but the painter had some life problems and it's lost to me… So I had to pick a replacement: Hive Mind.
Note that while I've been puttering away on this project, the rules have gone from 1.0 to 2.0 to 3.0, and are now published by the designer himself.
