Wonderful! Thank you for the follow up. Bill, you need to get the post up earlier next year so more people have time to give. My mother and my aunt used to talk about how thrilled they were as children to get an orange in their stockings when they were children. How times have changed. |

Bill, you need to get the post up earlier next year so more people have time to give. Julia and her sister were concerned about getting more than was needed, which is why we stopped the donations early. |

That was an awesome follow up! I got some bad news yesterday that lowered my level of Christmas spirit, but what we were able to provide and to see these pictures has me back in the right mood. : ) So glad those kids had a wonderful party, some good gifts, and for the folks here who were able to help. |

Tell you what, that was one of the coolest Christmas presents I got from this too, those kids looked so happy :) Told my mom about it 79th and she remembers getting a 3 wheeled old 2nd hand pram from the TocH (sort of like a poor peoples pawn shop) from her mom and how excited she was as a kid to get that even with the missing wheel, (got a lump in the throat thinking about it) yeah times have changed, hope it can continue for the good. |

Bill, very considerate of them, but I am sure the kids could use things all year 'round. She doesn't have to spend it all at once. Just a thought; I'll leave it up to them to decide… |

Yes, I noticed they were using beer bottles as playground equipment, maybe we could help get something a little less… potentially jagged… |

I agree, we need to see that button go up a bit more often. Its amazing what I see them use over there at times. its stuff that anyone here would have trashed or recycled because it was to dangerous to use anymore. |

I agree with nap thyme and 79thpa, this also seems like the ideal time for TMP to adopt an elementary school! |

Thank you so much to all of you. I don't get any present every Christmas season, but this is something that makes me happy this Christmas. Even if it's not Christmas, it's always a good feeling to share. Merry Christmas to you!! |

@Emperor's Library: I think that is a great idea. |

Can we do that please please please! I'm so in! (the elementary school I attended in San Diego, though itself on the low end of the spectrum, adopted a sister school in Tijuana. I saw the impact just a little bit of generosity made on those kids, even when it was just paper towels and pencils) |

Please put the button back up, those kids need some decent outside equipment; glass and concrete don't mix. |

In all of the rooms, my sister's room is the best. She spend her own money to make it a real classrom for students. They don't have electric fan now. It's already not working when my sister was transfered there. |

Probably the best money I spent during the whole holiday season. Thanks for the opportunity to contribute. |
