Note that McDonalds in the Philippines serves fried chicken and rice, not something they do in the U.S.! grin

I thought that was a piece of fried chicken. Are such large family units common across the PI?

klepley03 Aug 2016 10:41 a.m. PST

And spaghetti! Large family units are the norm. And living together or close is also the norm.

There are 14 kids here at home because they have different parents… I have 5 siblings and four of them have kids, so there are more than 10, plus a grandchild which is daughter of my niece who got married at age of 18.

Poor people here have no family planning… some don't believe in controlling. It depends on the family's beliefs and religion. Like me, my family is Muslim, so we have large families consisting of lots of kids. Though there are lots of Christians here also who have large families… So it is common here. Yes!

I only love their spaghetti at McDonalds… but sometimes when I am so hungry, I eat a lot! Fried chicken with rice, spaghetti, and french fries.

The kids really like their fried chicken. We normally go out to McDonalds once a month with the kids.
