Is This Useful? Craft Scraper

DeRuyter writes:

Update. I bought one and found that it is indeed hard plastic and not silicone, so not good for 3d printing applications. I did find a McCormick silicone scraper/spatula for cooking at Dollar Tree which works well for stirring resin and vat cleaning.

Those of you working with clay in its various forms might find this tool useful, especially at the price.

Craft Scraper

This is a Crafter's Square brand craft scraper, which you can find at Dollar Tree in the crafts aisle for $1.25 USD. The packaging says "apply materials clean large areas."

Here it is on my workbench, with a superglue tube to give some idea of size. According to the company website, this tool comes in two colors: purple and white. The color only applies to the top handle area. The one I bought seems to be more pinkish.

The backside has some texture, probably to keep it from slipping out of your fingers.

What's it good for? I would imagine it's good for spreading out clay… and for scraping it back off your working surface. I've found it works fine for cleaning dried white-glue blobs off my cutting board.
