wonders why create different 3D models, if you can create one that can be customized?
Again I was in Hobby Lobby (different store this time!), and saw a wall of My Little Christmas products. Of use to wargamers, I spotted:
Strangely enough, the pack has no title, but the online catalog claims it is Frosted Mini Bottle Brush Trees. Nine trees for $2.99 USD, but 50% off currently.
I didn't know 2" mini-trees were a thing now. The wooden bases are about 5/16" thick. The 'snow' is hard and non-shedding, though sometimes it glues the trees together and you have to pull them apart.
If my math is right, and you get them on sale, these are the most inexpensive mini-trees so far at about $0.16 USD each. Shown above with a 28mm figure, but use them for whatever scale suits your eyes.
Of less use to wargamers: There is a pack of 2" mini bottle brush trees in miscellaneous bright metallic colors, and another pack of 2" Christmas trees with ornaments.
