Another mystery - the email bug recurs. Still claiming there's a disk space problem on the mail server. Hmmmm... I try an old trick - logging out of my broadband service, and logging back in. That solves the problem this time.
My wife calls - she's on her first break at work. That means it must be lunch time. I put a slice of pizza in the microwave, and accompany that with some K-mart diet soda (kiwi-strawberry). Yum.
Back to the advertisers. One of the companies writes to say that there's a problem with their advertising account page. (Each TMP advertiser gets their own private webpage, with the statistics on their banners.) For some reason, they can't see any images on the webpage. That means they can't see the new banner that they asked me to design for them!
I suspect the problem is with their web browser rather than the website. The answer is to find out what source code they're receiving. If the code includes the graphics, then the bug is on their end; otherwise, it's on my end. So I give them instructions on how to view the source code, save it to a file, and email it to me for analysis.
(You might be wondering why I can't just look at the source code on the server myself. The answer to that is that TMP is a dynamically generated website. There is no source code on our server in this case - just Miva code that generates the source code. And the whole purpose of the Miva code is to generate unique webpages for different users. Which means the best way to "see" what the company is getting is to have them send me back the source code...)
