Meanwhile, back at the ranch… well, OK, at a table in the far corner.. the loudest game in the room was a Warhammer Legends of the Old West game entitled Bank Robbery at Dry Gulch City. A place, according the player handout, that is:

...an unincorporated township established under the auspices of the Anthrax Cattle Company dedicated to bringing the benefits of civilization and culture to the frontier. (Inquire about ownership and timeshares in vacation properties just north of the south forty.)

By the time that I got over to the table, the robbers had completed their bank transaction but were receiving their substantial penalty for early withdrawal at the hands of the posse. The outlaws had broken into two groups, with one band having made it to their horses only to be trapped in the hills above the town. Meanwhile, the female player - running the only surviving outlaw left within the town - was more than holding her own against the townsfolk pursuing her into the cemetery. Outgunned by 5 to 1, she managed to take down two of her pursuers, and then resorted to fisticuffs with two others! She knocked one of them cold, only to be hit over the head with a bible by the preacher. The next round, she leapt over the graveyard's wall, surprising another lawman whom she cold-cocked.

Events did not turn out so well for the desperadoes up in the hill, as the posse and last outlaw took many futile shots at each other, until the last robber was brought down and stuffed into the barrel he had been hiding behind.
