I had two last companies to interview before the end of the convention. The first was Fantization Miniatures. While they serve primarily as a distributor for Hasslefree, Heresy, i-Kore, Rackham, and Reaper, they also have their own small range of 25mm fantasy figures. In fact, their next special-edition figure is due out in late winter or early spring. Sculpted by Matt Guben, who has created some miniatures for Reaper, the figure will portray a heavily armored wandering knight. The green has been described as "absolutely fantastic."
Fantization's original plan for the convention was to run demonstrations of Rackham's new AT-34 boxed set. However, postal delays brought on by the holidays meant that the demonstration box only showed up on Friday.
The "initiation set" called Operation Damocles contains 24 pre-painted plastic miniatures, including 3 "combat striders" (large walkers"), a 160-page rulebook (in 5 languages), 9 pieces of terrain, and other materials such as D6, tape measure, templates and reference cards. The various pieces combine to provide two opposing futuristic forces for skirmish-level games.
Fantization was offering a 20% discount at the convention for pre-orders. This sale continues at their website: fantization.com.
