As I reported previously, in response to these inflationary times, the Dollar Tree chain is expanding its inventory of craft products.

Some of the new items are larger and heftier, suitable for dioramas or larger models.

This item is sold as 'Wood Shape', and is roughly 7½" x 4¾" x ¼". Shown is the back side, with plastic tab and label. The shape is a little fancy, but I'm thinking this might make a good base for a 28mm Dragon on my workbench…

Despite the fact that I just bought this, a check of the store website shows that the Wood Shape has been discontinued, replaced by Crafter's Square 'DIY Wood Plaques'. The oval looks useful.

I also picked this up for a future project. It's 5" across and ¾" tall. Label says 'Wood Plaque 5x5'. Made in the USA.

And again, it seems this product has already been superseded by a line of "Wooden DIY Plaques 3.5x5.625x0.5 in." These, too, look useful.

And while I was on the store website, I see that they also have 'Wood Planks' for sale. Described as:
These Crafter's Square Wood Planks are assorted between squares (4.5 x 4.5 in.) and rectangulars (7.1 x 2.8 in). Each pack holds 6 of either the squares or the rectangular shapes.
I haven't spotted these in the stores yet, but will keep an eye out for them.

Lots of options for your larger basing needs.
