the dreaded Nautiloids

In my humble opinion, the award for most flexible gamemaster would have to go to Peter Bauer. He had the misfortune of having the worst location at the convention - not a room, but a poorly-lit alcove off a long hallway, halfway between the two major convention areas. He ran two games in a row - the first, using Starguard rules, pitted men against Nautiloids!

Then as I watched, Peter took the same terrain, rearranged it slightly, and was off running a historical WWII fight! His simple terrain set, perfect for travelling, consisted of a burlap ground sheet, with flexible brown "rubbery foam" (like that used for place mats) to indicate elevations.
