Today, I'm opening the box on Battlefront's 15mm Rural Farm Buildings – not that they're newly released, but because in my previous article I failed to take pictures of the packaging, and I had this box at hand:

Rural Farm Buildings

Removing the plastic wrap and slicing through the tape, you can open one end of the box and slide out the contents:

Rural Farm Buildings box contents

The exterior box is thin; it is the corrugated cardboard on the inside that provides strength.

The cardboard unfolds to reveal two stacks…

…of two items (four items total).

Undoing two strips of tape allows the bubblewrap to be unrolled…

…and then the building can be pulled out of another piece of folded bubblewrap, taped into a ring.

Rural Farm Buildings

The other piece is similarly wrapped, although there are five pieces of tape (probably because the shape is more complicated), and an extra piece of bubblewrap to cushion the chimney.

Rural Farm Buildings

This box contains two buildings, which seem to be mirror images of each other; and two identical roof pieces.

Rural Farm Buildings

According to the box:

Rural Buildings may look simple but they are built to withstand the harshest of winters. Although enemy machineguns may hammer at them, their stout construction provides friendly troops a place to rest.
Rural Farm Buildings

These are intended as generic farm buildings, suitable for anything from Normandy to Moscow.

The roof fits loosely around the top edge of the building, and can be flipped in either direction to give some variety to your rural community.

The interior floor is painted brown, but the walls are left dark grey. Doors and windows are molded on the inside, so you have the option to paint them.

There are useful buildings for any European battlefield. Holds two medium Flames of War bases.
