Is This Useful? Foam Hair Rollers

Personal logo Sgt Slag Supporting Member of TMP writes:

Filler material for an armature: shape them, roughly; then cover them with Papier-mâché, or similar, to create the outer surface, which is then sculpted, and painted.

Aside from that, I have nothing. Cheers!

We're starting a new series called Is This Useful?, where we show you some item, and you tell us if you think this would be useful in your hobby life.

Rollers

You might think that hair rollers would be unfamiliar to most in the hobby!

Rollers

This particular type go by the rather generic name of Rollers ("salon quality"), and come in a pack of six at Dollar Tree.

Rollers

These are essentially tubes of pink foam with a wire inside. (Blue and green versions are also available.)

Rollers

The rollers end in white plastic caps, which connect to the wire inside.

Rollers

Would you use these in your hobby projects? Could you build something from them? Make a loop and support a large model when spray painting? Use one to hang a tool?
