And now, running to the other end of the table, here's a view of the Russian left flank (the central fort is at the top of the photo).

I was assigned to command several scattered Russian units, roughly half the forces on the left flank. They comprised regular infantry, militia (the figures in bright, motley colors), cavalry (in the center), and a handful of artillery pieces. Since the Russians were caught by surprise in this battle, our forces were deployed by the umpire - no decisions for me!

I should mention that one of the reasons I signed up for this event was to try out La Guerre du Roi, a variant of Koenig Krieg. As it turned out, we used that set of rules with a lot of house modifications, so I'm still looking for my first game of La Guerre du Roi...
