Meanwhile, while my fellow left wing commander is busy attempting to repel the Swedish assault (top left), I've been engaged trying to get my troops into action. A special rule for this scenario is that the Russians don't "activate" until a special dieroll is made (representing the surprised state of the troops). As it happens, the first troops of mine which spring into immediate action are those on the bottom right - furthest from the action!
In this photo, you can assume the troops still at the siegelines are not yet activated. The other Russians are oh-so-slowly wheeling and marching to face the dreaded Swedes. My last troops to activate will be the artillery in the "V" at top right.
