Bearing down on the Union fleet

As my cottonclad descended on the Union fleet, I had to decide... strike the boat in front, the "stores" boat we need to stop? Try to hit the fighting boats around it? Or go for one of the powerful enemy monitors (the ones with turrets)?

Veering to the right

I made a last-minute decision to change targets and veer to starboard. Depending on the Union fleet's activation rolls, I might live long enough to strike one of their valuable monitors; I could at least hit the "blue" vessel. (I think I just rammed and killed the little Union vessel, by the way...)

Taking damage

Darn! The Yankees make their activation rolls, someone fires into my cottonclad and it takes damage. Doesn't look like I'll live long enough to get one of the monitors - better strike that blue boat!

Aftermath

My cottonclad rams the blue boat, doing great damage and knocking it back. Unfortunately, now comes the Union wrath! (The pennies on the hull mark crew losses.)

Sunk!

The cottonclad is a goner!
