Crafter's Square Harvest Acorns

Personal logo Sgt Slag Supporting Member of TMP writes:

The nut portions would make great Alien Face-Hugger Pods: add a texturedbase to hide any exposed Styrofoam, assuming they don't tear too badly. You could also use the crown portion as the Pod base, by cutting the center out, and gluing the Pod into it. The Crown portions could be modified to remove the stem point, as the texture is good. These could be used for terrain, or monster's/alien creature's body textures/armor by using them whole, or carved up into smaller, useful shapes and pieces. They might be useful as a partial armature for sculpting, as well. Loads of possibilities.

Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

As I write this, fall is coming, and seasonal decorative items are appearing in stores.

Harvest Acorns

I spotted these Harvest Acorns at Dollar Tree recently. They come in brown, red and orange colors.

Harvest Acorns

I picked up some packs of the brown ones. There are ten in a bag for $1.25 USD.

Harvest Acorns

These could be useful as fantasy vegetation, alien pods, or whatever you can imagine.

You can pull them apart, but they break if you do so. The interior is styrofoam.

I think these will be on my wargaming table soon…
