Previously, I made a wargaming music video combining one of the 'wargaming theme songs' with a picture of a gamer contemplating his next move:
I thought it would be fun to revisit this, using the same art, but supplying a more applicable song about making that tough decision at a critical moment in a game.
With the help of AI, these lyrics were finalized:
(Verse 1)
Critical time in a hard-fought match,
Above the battlefield, my thoughts to catch.
Painted figures, poised for their fate,
My kingdom of lead, at the gate.
A breath held tight, a decision at hand,
Each tiny warrior, at my command.
(Chorus)
Oh, the weight of this empire, so small and so grand,
Every move a decision, across this small land.
Strategy unfolds, a serpent in my mind,
To conquer the table, and leave no points behind.
The pressure is rising, a storm in my soul,
To win this small war, and make my victory whole.
(Verse 2)
The enemy lines, a deliberate threat,
My tactics rehearsed, though I haven't won yet.
A flank or a feint, a gamble so bold,
Stories of glory, waiting to unfold.
The clock in my head, my mind is tired,
For this skillful contest, a victory desired.
(Chorus)
Oh, the weight of this empire, so small and so grand,
Every move a decision, across this small land.
Strategy unfolds, a serpent in my mind,
To conquer the table, and leave no points behind.
The pressure is rising, a storm in my soul,
To win this small war, and make my victory whole.
I also had to give the AI some musical instructions. I wanted a male vocalist, someone who sounded like they were older. The final instructions were:
Deep, weathered timbre, resonant and soulful delivery, rich with emotion and experience, expressive storytelling quality, textured with subtle rasp and warmth, mature and captivating tone, evoking nostalgia and wisdom, intimate and engaging presence, evocative and authentic performance, recorded with clarity and depth to capture every nuance.
Then I generated ten or twelve songs, until the AI came up with something I thought fit.
Again, I asked the AI this time to animate the art, creating a 10-second video which is looped throughout the music. This took several tries, as the AI kept doing wrong things (i.e., breaking soldiers off their bases!).
The art and music were then combined to create the following video, using ClipChamp:
I've also posted the video as a reel on the TMP Facebook page, where it is one of our most viewed videos.
