Someone recently suggested Walmart as a useful source for wooden bases, so I dropped by to see what they had.

Wooden Circles

My local Supercenter only had two 'thin' wooden items: stars and circles. Shown above is On the Surface brand Wooden Circles, made in China, $2.87 USD.

There are six per pack, which comes to about $0.50 USD each.

Wooden Circles

I thought they'd be 3" circles, but they are actually 80mm in diameter. One of the circles is marked with date of manufacture (July 2024) and origin (Shanghai), in French and English.

Thickness is 2mm.

The price is much higher than if ordered directly from China (see my previous article), but you can get them immediately rather than waiting weeks. Unfortunately, I only saw one size in store.

I checked the online store to see if there were other sizes available, but none were listed.
