I was assigned to the Austrian team, commanding the right reserve line. The pre-battle briefing was basic: hold the line against the French, retreat towards the town if necessary. In the picture, both rows of infantry (6mm figures) are Austrian; my reserve command is at the bottom right. On the Austrian left is a hill topped with a redoubt; on the Austrian right is a series of broken hills. The French march onto the field from the table edge at the top.
