Bayou Wars

This was the 23rd year of Bayou Wars – June 12–14, 2015, at the Magnuson Hotel, St. Francisville, Louisiana. As I write this, I just attended the convention, and I am ready to tell you how great this convention is!

Editor Julia in Lousiana

Chris Johnson gave me a warm welcome when I arrived at the concention. He has been the director of Bayou Wars since the first year. He has never missed a year, even when Katrina hit the city in 2010. Chris is a very nice guy. He taught me where and how to start as a newbie in playing tabletop wargames.

It was a fun and exciting weekend. I am so glad that I was given a chance to finally experience the hobby that is my job! Everyone was so nice to me. I found it strange at first how they were so serious about gaming, but in the end, I did understand.

I would like to thank everybody who attended the Bayou Wars 2015 convention for making me feel so welcome. Especially to Chris Johnson and Walt Burgoyne, thank you so much.

If I will be in the U.S. next year, I would definitely go back! It was such a fun weekend.
