At last, everything seems to be coming together. There has been only token opposition on this side of the river. Our main column reaches the river, and comes under fire from concealed positions on the ridge.
Just in time, our reinforcing unit marches in from the connecting trail. (My unit is still out there tromping through the jungle...)
The Japanese are able to feed troops into the firefight.
And then we're across the river, making the final assault! (Well, actually, my fellow players are... my troops have finally emerged from the jungle into the river bottom... at top-center in the photo...)
