This event is a regular one at GenCon, as the designer continues to polish his someday-to-be-published Periphery space combat rules. The game is quite striking to see in play, as it is played in true 3D with the ships, asteroid mining base, and asteroids mounted on segmented poles.

Lost in a forest of asteroids on altitude poles.

Perhaps it was due to the early hour (8 am), but I never did quite get the sense of the rules. (Or perhaps the referee glossed over the details.) What I did understand, however, was how to move (and accelerate), and how to fire.
