shelves brimming with miniatures

These same shelves, conveniently located in the garage, can be loaded into the company van for trips to conventions. (It often takes days to drive from Texas to the site of a major U.S. convention.) He tries to take his entire stock in the van. "I like the fact that I don't run out of stuff at a show."
