A gamer prepares to roll the dice!

The busiest miniatures event of this convention was the Warhammer 40k tournament. This was held in another of the conference rooms, and every square foot was packed with players and games.

Actually, there were two 40k tournaments, each 10-hours and 3-rounds, one on Saturday and another on Sunday. The Sunday tournament was officially sponsored by Epicast, but as it turned out, even the Saturday tournament (pictured here) was a showcase for Epicast terrain products.

Tournament

System: Warhammer 40k
Players/Armies: 20/1500 pts maximum
GM: Shawn Farrow, Sean Salmadine

Army lists to 1500 pts maximum in a 3 round tournament. Players will be scored on sportsmanship, painting, army makeup, and generalship. Rules and limitations from WD 216. Squats from the Black Codex can be used. There will be mission cards but no Tyranid missions.
