Previously, we looked at three of the Final Faction 4" action figures. This time, we'll take a look at the remaining two heroes in the first release.

Two more heroes

Master Sergeant Steadfast is an American, and the leader of Alpha Squad. He has a scarred face, bionic eye and arm (he lost his arm fighting the aliens), gruff voice (in the official video), and bakes cookies for fun. He can also activate a personal energy shield.

Steadfast

The action figure has movable arms and legs, and the head can twist slightly. There are attachment points for future options on the right arm and back. The undescribed gun fits in his gripping hands (either one).

Steadfast

One problem is that this figure's gripping hands don't hold the gun very well – it easily rotates or falls out. You could glue it down, but that sort of loses the benefit of having optional weapons. (Ruck, Swift and Steel can all hold the gun securely!)

Steadfast

The next problem is that, with gun in hand, the figure is unstable – I had to put him in a rather odd pose to get him to stand. This is more a problem from a toy angle, as gamers will probably want to base the figure anyway.

Steadfast

Referring to the official video, gamers might want to paint the cybernetic eye (the figure has a plain eye), emphasize the facial scarring, or make the bionic arm silvery as it is in the video. The arm-mounted communications device shown in the video is not present on the figure (optional part?).

Steel

Sergeant Steel is from Africa, and is a highly trained air resource. His additional part are the 'wings of steel' seen in the video, which allow him to fly. (He also pilots the team's VTOL aircraft.)

Steel

The pin on the wings piece needed some clean up, so that it would fit properly into the figure's back. With the wings on, the figure must be posed leaning forward to stay upright. One disappointment is that Steel does not come with any weapon. Gamers might want to paint his sunglass frame black instead of skin color. The only attachment point is where the wings fit.

Steadfast and Steel

This completes the hero figures in the first release; the remaining packs are aliens and optional parts.

Shown in the video but not available in this release are Churru (dog in armor), the sunglasses-wearing guy with mustache, the floating AI, the light assault vehicle, the P-131 air-droppable guns, or the VTOL aircraft.
