I build and sell Amphibious Assault ships and landing craft in several scales ranging from 1:36 and down to 1:192.
Start your game at sea and really land your tanks, troops aand vehicles as you assault the beach.

A review of some of my models (LCT Mk V & LCM 3) is in the April 2013 on line issue of WARGAMES ILLIUSTRATED.

Would love to see a realistic beach assault and landing.

It sometimes bothers me how flat our wargaming tables are, when compared to the terrain that battles were historically fought over. Of course, for most of us it's impractical to have tabletops piled with realistic hills and mountains, but once in a while it's nice to see something like...

Normandy - left end of the table

...a view from the beaches, looking up at the bluffs at Normandy.

Normandy - right end of the table

I took these pictures way back at Bayou Wars 2006, and (sadly) I wasn't playing in this game, so I can't tell you what the rules were or who put the game on. (I'm sure some of you will know!) I believe the terrain levels are made from layers of cork, as they had some flex to them.

Normandy

I had another game in this time slot, so I had to take photos on breaks from the game I was playing in. There are the pre-game shots...

Game tray organization

The forces were provided to the players on disposable food trays, ready to deploy.

Late-game fighting

Now I've dashed back to witness some late-game fighting, as the Allies press into the defile.

Late-game fighting

When it was all over, I dashed behind the table to get a German's-eye-view...

Late-game fighting

...and then I took a picture of the happy participants!
