I was surprised to see that poker chips are back at Dollar Tree.

The packs are heavy enough that they often break off the display hooks. At my local store, the packs have been reinforced with tape at the top, but they still break sometimes.

The chips are marked on the face, by color, as 10, 20, 50 and 100. Useful for many games. Same on front and back.

But can you use them for basing models? Above, you can see a 32mm figure standing on a poker chip, which is about 40mm in diameter.

I'm not sure the poker chips would work well for basing. First, you'd have to find a compatible adhesive. Second, the chips are stiff but bendable, so any paint or flocking might eventually crack away.
