Wow, that voice… and she knew how to use it. I've had her stuff on 8-track, vinyl, cassette and CD. It was a shame to hear when her health problems put an end to her career.

BEST Female singer EVER. Bar. None. Where is the "Every song she ever sung" option. I'm not gonna answer, cause it's impossible for mr to narrow it down to my top 10, much less, one…

Which songs did she write? She did a lot of covers. Nice voice though. Too bad about her health.

She didn't write it but I loved her in the Pirates of Penzance.

Yes she does have a great voice.

Ronstadt didn't write. She said there were already plenty of great songs and songwriters, and she didn't want to take a chance on being one of the bad ones. Sinatra didn't write, and though he is often credited as a co-writer, Elvis wasn't a songwriter. Does that diminish them in some way? The artists she covered from Hank Williams and Patsy Cline to The Rolling Stones and Neil Young to Roy Orbison and Gilbert and Sullivan is pretty impressive. Sad that her voice is stilled.
