I've sold off stuff that I haven't regretted but my main gaming regret is selling my Heroics & Ros 6mm DBx armies that I painted in the 90s. |

Other … not keeping more than I did and not creating better storage sooner (so I could keep more and keep it in better condition) … … and occasionally cutting the budget too fine: spending more up front has always proved a better economy in the long run than buying cheap £20.00 GBP worth of Les Higgins ECW back in the old days would have been the wisest investment I could ever have made (but I didn't have that kind of money as a youngster) … Phil |

So we mostly recognise that we buy too much stuff but we still click on the news links to see what's newly available…we need help |

Truly my biggest regret is not buying everything when I had no money and buckets of time. I'm not sure how I would have done it, but on reflection it seems easier to achieve than my current position of enough hobby money but no time for the painting etc. I know, I know – a painting service is what I need. And you're probably right. |

Not too many regrets – except that I have to sleep and that cuts into painting time |

"buying too much stuff" – That's heresy, you'll burn for that! |

20thmaine, I you sure you are not me? Same same – when I was young I had plenty of time and no money… On the up side, I still have figures from then that are finding their way to the painting table. |

Other than not buying enough 40K EPIC and starting ACW there are no regrets. Though the biggest regret is not winning the Powerball or Megamillion. I need to get into ACW, SYW and Thirty Years War/Pike & Shotte periods. That takes money to buy the figures and get them painted. |

I think "not buying a line of miniatures that is presently no longer available" ought to have been a choice. I personally wish I'd bought a few of the Forgeworld epic scale miniatures when they were still in print (and I don't play GW games, they were just nice minis) and I could say the same for half a dozen other lines as well. |

My only regret is not learning how to make terrain sooner. |

No real regrets as I think I made the best decisions at the time of starting something new. I do wish I'd got a lot more ECW done before starting on the Sudan. In fact I probably regret starting on the Sudan at all. I really should have done it as a minor side project in 15mm not 28mm but I'm in too deep now to change. |

Wish I'd bought a LOT more Dragontooth. |

Not starting earlier – I started in my mid forties. I have a long list of miniatures that I wish I purchased that are no longer available, particularly Babylon 5 space ships. |

Selling off all my WWII stuff to get me through the financial horrors of a divorce. 1:1 Battalion sized armies for all major combatants, various theaters, various forces (ie: Infantry, armour, airbourne etc..) Thousands of figures, hundreds of models and thousands of hours of work over a 20 year period. I regret that. |
Narratio | 27 May 2016 7:59 p.m. PST |
The divorce. Not being able to clear my stuff out and relying on others to do it for me. That hurt. |

Buying (and sometimes painting) more figures than I can realistically ever put on the tabletop at one time or for a given period. So they just take up space and wasted my time and money. Also, being interested in TOO MANY periods and therefore, in many cases, never being able to concentrate or focus on one long enough to organize and paint armies and then play games, not to mention the sheer storage problem this creates and the need to acquire and store yet more kinds of terrain and accoutrements. |

Oh yes,as Piper just reminded me: ADD! And I don't mean Advanced Dungeons and…and..um…oh,whatever it was… |
