I have know idea even how to go about estimating it. How do you turn a single figure costing over £5.00 GBP back in 1960 into modern values or rather lovely flats that dad brought back from WW2 into Money.

No idea but large.

I estimated with inflation to bring it to "today's dollars".

Surely the time invested is far more valuable than the dollars. One can't be got back and only becomes more finite and more precious.
