Have a few in a display collection but don't game with them

I'm not sure why there needs to be a distinction between metal and paper flats.

I recently played with plastic flats and have considered buying metal flats.

No.
But if someone showed up with them
I would.

Or any kind of flat at all. Wooden, paper, metal.

I did once at a convention and admire them greatly.

Cerdic28 Jul 2016 6:22 a.m. PST

No. Not enough room in them.

Do our American friends wargame with apartments?

I have some flats but have not gamed with them

That being said the Skull and Crown ones are very tempting

I'd game with wooden flats if Windcatcher was still in business. I loved their French Foreign Legion and Arab line of figures. By the time I finished a huge project/collection and was ready to begin buying them, the company had folded. It was just bad timing. I love the look of those figures.

I on the other hand do not like the look of them, for some reason. They make a nice diorama at distance, but up close and personal? Far prefer 3D figs.

How do you game with flats?

Only ran into two people involved with flats. One only painted them. The other brought up the idea at club night back in the 70's as he wanted to use them to play CLS.

Voted no but not through choice.

Would jump at the chance to use them.

I would like to get some metal ones, but Yes I do game with them. I have a handful of Windcatcher Arabs and French, but I also have a bunch of Skull and Crown.

I have run a Skull and Crown game at the HMGS East conventions for a couple of years now. Mr. Foss knows how to make a simple but fun game.

Might play with such if they were easier to get.

I always wargame in flats. It's too tiring wearing stiletto heels.

I've been wargaming with flats since 1970. Tony Bath was my inspiration.

Saxondog try Ebay.de for some flats esp. Napoleonics and Seven Years War.
