None of these.

I've watched--and in fact own--Terminator and Ghost-busters, but I never thought of either as horror--or comfort, come to that.

Alien is pretty horrifying.
No Freddy Kruger or Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
But isn't the Alien a mad slasher? 🤔
How isn't Alien a horror movie? Does being sci-fi disqualify it? Only to those who insist that something can fit in one category and one category only. It can be many. Just like An American Werewolf in London was both funny and scary.

But I agree about Ghostbusters, though. It's … silly. Not the faintest hint of scariness.
It's a Bill Murray comic show off. Just like Stripes.

Part of the problem is that true horror films offer little reason to watch again. The tension is all about who will survive or what secret is behind it all— watch it once, and the questions are answered. The tension and suspense and even the shock moments which work together to make the film exciting and/or horrific are no longer present— there's no surprise left. Comedy overcomes this, as does exciting action, or particularly interesting characters. And thus, the comic or the action-focused are rewatched by more people— especially people who may not like horror— and thus these win out for "Most Watched Film."

There is comedy in The Terminator.
Arnold asks how many police are in the station. The answer is "23".
"I'll be back."
Then you can sit back and count the casualties.
"Give me your clothes!" That's funny too.
So, it's funny (sort of) sci-fi and horror. 🤷🙄😄

Parzival, Night of the Living Dead is still a great scary horror movie on each watching! Real violins and super cinematography go a long way.
