If you've had that moment would you still be looking at this site?

I have had that moment twice-

Once with Magic the Gathering, sold everything to help pay for my wedding. I was finally fed up.

Again with Xwing. Sold off everything and never looked back.

How can you leave the hobby and never look back, but still be on TMP to state the same? To me, TMP is a big part of my hobby time due to family and work constraints. As the above poster notes, you can certainly abandon a project or three but, to me, if you are on TMP, you are still in the hobby.

1. If you had that moment, left the hobby and didn't look back. Then months or years later you reconsider and decide to jump back in.

2. You say you are fed up with it. You want to sale all your figures and find a new hobby. You're on the ledge ready to jump and then you have second thoughts and step back. But it was a close call.

When I'm dead.

Not even then.

Though GW has tried really hard.

Had that moment back in 85 when I became a permanent expat – what we called "Oil Field Trash". Got back into gaming when I settled down again.
