I tend to only buy 1 color of dice so when on the table top we don't get our dice mixed up. My preferred color is black with red colored numbers. Brian |

Maybe dice colours should simply avoid those mixes where generally people have issues with "colour blindness" |

I've never really thought about this much as I typically but what's available. Nearly all my dice are white with black pips, altough my favorites are translucent green with white pips. Either are contrasted enough. |

I voted yes, but I can't really consider myself a dice "snob" as the only thing I require is for them to be legible from standing height. We do use different colours for each player though to ensure no confusion while rolling. |

How does wanting legible dice make one a dice "snob"? |

I with Mack. Generally, I buy white with black pips, or white with black. I keep the colour of the rollers seperate from that used for markers. And that is about it for me. |

I agree with Mack that is. And I have to deliver a document today. Should be a hoot. |

I've not encountered dice I couldn't read from a standing position. Even the old grease pencil dice left uncolored didn't cause me a problem. I suppose when my eyes start to go I may become vexed by this issue, but until I know for sure I can't answer the poll question. |

Not snobby, just aging eyes and a dimly lit club house means higher contrast dice make my hobby more enjoyable. Jewel dice without colour in the pips are particularly frustrating.. |

I'm not a fan of the dice with swirly colored patterns and such. I prefer solid colored, opaque dice with contrasting pips or numerals. No weird markings, please. |

If having dice which are easily viewed and read at distance makes one a dice snob – then count me in. I played a game where my opponent rolled black dice with a grey/white/silver swirl pattern, with grey pips – making them virtually impossible to read at any distance – you had to look closely at each die. Since it was a bucket of dice game – and he would roll and pick out the hits quickly from the batch of dice rolled, it made for a long and difficult game. In the end, I defeated him – but only due to the scenario conditions – if he only read the scenario for the tournament I am sure he would have won. |

No artsy-fancy dice for me please! Heck, I've gone to dice with the numbers, instead of pips for easier reading by one & all. Maybe that makes me a pip-snob! Hoody-Hoo! |

I vote the next poll not be about dice pleeeeeeeese! |

Two colors -- red dice and blue dice. Makes it easy to track sides on the table. |

Dice shall be of the same dimensions. Exactly. Mixes of rounded / squared corners will not be tolerated. They shall have pips not numbers. Pips shall be white or black as the background colour requires. Different colours of dice shall not be mixed unless there is a 'game' reason to do so. Other than that I'm easy. My opponent may use whatever he/she likes – thankfully my dice uptightness only applies to myself. |

Dark dice with white pips or Yellow dice with black pips are my preferred sort. You should be able to see the outcome from 6 feet away. mjc |
