Seeing how these are in alphabetical order and end in the "L's" my guess is Paine will be in Part 2.

BUT, missing from Part 1 is George Clinton and Patrick Henry. Yes, I missed the nominating poll but they could still be added to the second part.

ALL "Most Underrated" polls are ridiculous. If someone is underrated he deserves to be.
Seeing Ben Franklin on this poll underscores this. How can anyone UNDERrate Ben?
Except for writing the Declaration Jefferson was pretty much a mediocrity as governor and president. Does that qualify him?

Charles Carroll of Carrollton, if you please. Not only did he add his address so that there would be no doubt as to which Charles Carroll had signed the Declaration of Independence, he also outlived all the other signers, finally passing away in 1832 at age 95.
