Interesting set of choices. A lot of them are essentially the same thing, though!

Texting while driving is illegal in Britain. It's a road safety issue….

Texting while driving is the only one that matters. It kills people.
The rest are utterly irrelevant to me. Live and let live.

Texting. Period. While driving While walking. In social gathering. The driving bit is clearly the most serious though.

"Put down the phone" covers half a dozen other options.

I agree with Ravenscraft – way too many good choices here

They shouldn't be blamed for their names – that was their parents choice.

Too many options. Still two of my favorites, No T-shirts big enough to house a company of Royal Marine. This is PARTICULARLY true when it bears some elite military unit logo. 2nd SS Panzer Tour Muu-Muu anybody?

The other one was "no Underwear showing". I must admit I sometimes fall victim to this one myself as I will blouse a shirt inside of my briefs and forget about it. It looks swell up until the time the pants slide or ride a little and the waistband shows. Lookin' real good there Poindexter! D'oh!

What is it with all the tattoos? The first tattoo I ever saw in person was on a retired CPO. I was in the Navy and hardly ever saw a tattoo on anyone. We used to call girls with tattoos Bleeped texts.

Shocking lack of knowledge about history.

Put down the damn phone!

An attention span of 30 seconds. No wonder they are not playing historical miniatures. You have to pay attention.

Young parents, please control your kids in public places. Gee what these kids can get away with. My parents would have never of allowed any of that nonsense.

Hugging, whatever happened to the simple handshake. I reserve hugging for my family.

In their defense :

Names are not something they can really be blamed for, as virtually none of them chose their own names.

More than a fair bit of their attitude is explained by the (clearly false) things many of them are told as youths that only become clearly untrue after they are young adults (e.g "Borrowing $100,000 USD in student loans to get a liberal arts degree is a great thing. You'll get a great job after you graduate with that. Why would you keep your accounting major if you don't think it's fun?").

Ultimately, their parents generation (i.e. my generation (although I do not have children) seem to be the ones most at fault. Why aren't parents doing anything to raise their children?
