We've actually done some of these already as part of our ongoing early 1980s cold war gone hot stuff – Norway, Greece and Japan. My WW3 is also based around a Threads style sov invasion of Iran, but so far with only a moderate amount of nuclear unpleasantness. |

Interesting ideas for scenarios. Glad most of these didn't happen! |

I just had to vote for Antarctica. Hoth with snow cats instead of walkers. |

I liked Charles D. Taylor's Cold War naval fiction, like 'Show of Force.' I guess if I were doing out of area I'd do African Proxy Wars. |

SPI's War In The Ice, a good example of fighting in Antarctica. Been working on a Modern Skirmish/role-playing Cold/Hot War but it's before this-'59-'73. Warsaw Pact Revolt during a Sov/Red China War with a MidEast War would probably be the best combo
except for civilians. |

I figured out why there is no Red Dawn option. I think I was banned at the time. |

Alaska's int he US John, so you could vote for some very cold wolverines. Alternately, "Mexican civil war" is a plot point in the film. |

@LHMGKodiak I am out of the DC area. I assume by the screen name you are in Alaska? |

My cold war stuff is built around Italy in the 1980s and the possible USSR invasion of Italy. Makes for some great games. |

Cold wars should be fought in ice. Period. So – slish, slish-slishy, slishh, slishshsh, and slishsloshshlisshy were my slish-shlish-slishers. |

One of my favorite board games was Victory Games "NATO: The Next War in Europe" another was S&Ts "The East is Red." I sold them at the end of the Cold War in 1991. Just didn't see the point anymore. Although I might like to see an updated "East is Red" but Europe is totally different now. So I voted "other explained" |
