Could someone tell me where the Battle of Britain battlefield is located? Can't seem to find it.

Apparently, it's being fought out on a few other TMP topics lately.

The answer is Trafalgar.

Well, I'll grant you it would be a tricky one to walk--or maybe unproductive, though you'd meet nice people. But you could tour the Cabinet War Rooms and the Battle of Britain Bunker, and as for the rest, I suppose if there's a Battle of the Bulge battlefield, then you'd have to say there was a Battle of Britain one.
For myself, I draw a sort of line under Sedan, or at least the FPW. It's the last time you could ride up a hill and see a major battle. Afterward, you might see a brigade action, but to see the whole battle you needed a map. War had degenerated into a board game.

Asterix – go to anywhere in southeast England or the English Channel and look up. You can't miss it.

I personally find that the Ardennes is one of the most fascinating "battlefields" in that traversing the area gives you a really appreciation for impact terrain has on how the battle unfolded.

I find Culloden to be incredibly atmospheric and haunting. Death of a culture really, and the post battle murder was appalling. A real demonstration of how 'othering' the enemy allowed the most awful brutality.

I had to answer Battle of Britain. After all, to see the "battlefield" you have to wander all over the United Kingdom.
