Nothing good. Yesterdays list was merely stupid. Adding Linda Lovelace and Marilyn Chambers makes it all the way to sexist, offensive and dumb.

At least there are more here that actually have something to do with American history than the first one.

I voted for Maggie Thatcher – her alliance with Reagan ended the Cold War and lead to the break-up of the USSR.

Neither were popular at the time but I think history will be kinder to them than most of the more recent US and British leaders.

I must ask my wife, who has a PhD in history, who she'd list. Pretty sure it's Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Sojourner Truth, Rosa Parkes and others. Maybe Emma Goldman.

But I won't show her the TMP polls, because it makes us all look sadder and more moronic than ever.

Parks, Stanton, Roosevelt, Monroe, Stowe – these women affected history, either political or social. I see the case for Thatcher, but the poll would have been better as "Most Influential American Women"

DUDES! Really see the origninal posts. I said infuential in American History not that the individual had to be an American. I was just looking at it from an American (United States) perspective. My original list was pretty short but others piled on. No harm no foul. I even think a case can be made for Linda Lovelace. Her prono movie did kick start the move to more main stream exceptance of Adult films in American culture. The Internet wins out over her but it was ground breaking and did "influence" America.
