Always found their albums very patchy – more of a singles band. |

Having limited myself to non-compilation studio albums, the winner for me was Let it Bleed. Side one is magnificent, if not the best one side of an lp then certainly in the top five, and Country Honk must be the best ever country song written by a non-Southerner. I was surprised about the support for Steel Wheels though. To each his own and all that, but it is my opinion that the Stones should have stopped making studio albums after Tattoo You. But if Critter likes it I have to dig it out and give it another chance! |

Yes, Dave
For me
Other: Some Girls. |
Texas Jack | 20 Jun 2012 9:13 a.m. PST |
Some Girls is my second favorite, very raunchy and very Stones! |

All their albums had stuff in them I did not like so none. I agree. Every other album, there was a song I liked. The rest were filler. NOT my favorite band, by a long shot. |

I really think that ALL of these "favorite" Polls need a "none" option. "Other" does not cover that. |

What abot Aftermath? And the notion that the Stones are not an album band is patently ridiculous, in my opinion of course. |

I've got nearly all of their albums on my iPad – so I don't have a favorite. |

More of a Beatles kinda guy vs. Stones, Me. Still; I'll go w/ 'Satanic Majesties Request' on the strength of the Overall Conception (Loved that Lenticular 3-D cover Design) and "She's a Rainbow" + "2000 Light Years from Home"
{ Brian Jones on mellotron ! } Just about as Close to my own personal Anthem as anything the Stones ever wrote: YouTube link |

Rolling Stones: what happens when a bunch of spoiled middle class kids try to sound like a rhythm and blues band. I'd much rather listen to Stevie Ray Vaughn and other authentic and talented artists. |
